Krótki opis
Niedaleka przyszłość. Dobiega końca dziesięciomiesięczna podróż europejskiego statku kosmicznego na Marsa. Ośmioosobowa załoga jest podekscytowana wizją bycia pierwszymi ludźmi na czerwonej planecie. Niestety na 24 godziny przed lądowaniem dowiadują się, że ubiegli ich już Amerykanie. Okazuje się jednak, że ślad po nich zaginął, a jedyne co zostało to, tajemnicza wiadomość ostrzegawcza. Po dotarciu na powierzchnię Marsa ekipa odnajduje amerykańską rakietę oraz rosyjskiego astronautę, który zaginął w kosmosie w 1967 roku. Astronauci próbują odkryć co takiego przytrafiło się ich poprzednikom.
