Krótki opis
Lyra jest z pozoru zwyczajną dziewczyną. Kiedy znika jej najlepszy przyjaciel, decyduje się ruszyć mu na pomoc, odkrywając przy tym groźny spisek, który dotyczy porwanych dzieci. Lyra podejmuje też próbę zrozumienia tajemniczego zjawiska zwanego Pyłem. Podczas podróży przez przeróżne światy, bohaterka spotyka zdeterminowanego i odważnego chłopca o imieniu Will. Razem spotykają na swojej drodze niezwykłe istoty i poznają niebezpieczne sekrety, a los żywych – jak i umarłych – zdaje się być w ich rękach.
