Krótki opis

Minami-ke to opowiada o życiu codziennym trzech sióstr - najstarszej Haruki, młodszej Kany i najmłodszej Chiaki. Nic nie wiadomo o ich bliższej rodzinie. Opiekuje się nimi "wujek" Takiru, którego bez ustanku trapią jakieś problemy. Siostry różnią się od siebie charakterami i sposobem bycia. Haruka jest miłą i uczynną osobą, wszystko robi w domu, lecz mimo swojego opanowana naprawdę potrafi się zdenerwować. Natomiast Kana jest nieuważna, roztrzepana i straszny z niej łakomczuch. Jednakże mimo wszystkich swoich wad posiada wielu przyjaciół, między nimi wielbiciela, który skrycie ją kocha. Chiaki jest poważna, rozsądna, chociaż czasami pod wpływem Kany zdarza jej się zrobić głupstwo, a swą najstarszą siostrę uznaje za największy autorytet.
