Krótki opis

Dwie pary bliźniaków zostają przypadkowo zamienione przy narodzinach. Jedna para, Phillipe i Pierre DeSisi, to aroganccy arystokraci, podczas gdy druga, Charles i Claude Coupé, to ubodzy i ograniczeni intelektualnie młodzieńcy. W przededniu rewolucji francuskiej obie pary zostają uwikłane w pałacowe intrygi.
