Krótki opis

Matt, samotnik i alkoholik, walczy o zachowanie trzeźwości, chcąc spełnić ostatnią wolę umierającej matki. Jego sponsor z AA oferuje mu schronienie w swoim gospodarstwie, gdzie Matt znajduje Yup'ika – bezdomnego husky'ego o niezwykłym talencie. Początkowo ich relacja jest trudna, lecz dzięki wsparciu lokalnej społeczności z Montany, dwaj wyrzutkowie nawiązują więź i odkrywają, czego potrzeba, aby dotrzeć do linii mety.
